Translation Techniques

Acceptable translation - A term denoting either Acceptable or Adequate translation. A translation that meets the expectations of the target readership and qualifies as a good translation.

Acculturation - Cultural modification of a text by assimilating traits of SC to TC values.

Active language - A language into which an interpreter is able to interpret. Opposite to Passive language.
