Power is the capacity of a person, team, or organization to influence others. Some examples are: the power to influence others, people have power they do not use and may not know they possess, and power requires one person's perception of dependence on another person.
Workplace politics is not new and tragedy is that most of the time "HR Department" is a center of such activities. Anyone who has ever had any job, anywhere, knows that the dynamics among those who are part of the work environment play an important part in how a business is run.
