And if we talk specifically about athletes then almost always there is years of hard training before fame and money.
To sum up, I think that actors and athletes are not paid to much because they entertaint the whole world and it is heavy burden on their shoulders. Of course the value that, for instance, astronomers or physicists gives to our society is much more bigger than a movie or a football match.
