If we are speaking that cigarette giants ("British American Tobacco" (BAT), "Japan Tobacco International", "Imperial Tobacco" un "Philip Morris") litigated this law, than I can say that I am satisfied with what the Courts did- proved that Australia’s decision is not against their constitution. Australia made this big step and they did it fully- made this new law, fought against cigarette industry and won.
Of course, we can make discussions that people can do what they want with their health, but nowadays we are doing so much bad things and it is only comprehensible that country wants to fight with at least one bad thing, especially if this bad thing leads so many peoples to death and terrible diseases.
I understand that argument of cigarette manufacturers is that this step of Australia affects their business, but it is only humanly in this case that Australia is receiving more support that any of these cigarette manufacturer.
I hope that European Union will look forward and follow Australia and that in the future we will see only one-color cigarette packs and what I hope more is that after 10 or 20 years we won’t see them in general.
