Finally, beliefs and values are a personal choice. We are individuals, and that is what makes up this country. Everyone is entitled to his or her own thoughts. Being able to believe in anything is a right that no one should be able to control or impose upon. All religious denominations believe differently, and we have no right to question those beliefs. There are designated places to teach those beliefs: an educational facility teaches educational facts, such as, two plus two is four and George Washington was the first President of the United States. We can teach people through knowledge but we can not make them believe in what we believe in. Designating school prayer would be imposing on a child's beliefs in an educational facility.
Let us allow our government to act on political issues and remain neutral in all matters of religion. Let us reinforce the reasons why government is elected. We want them to preserve our American rights, the rights of all people, so well-described in the Declaration of Independence! …
