A solution to the anaphora problem can be expected for advanced language pairs such as English-Spanish. At the same time, the task of translating technical texts and documentation has already been implemented at a sufficient level of quality; in the future, the process will be improved. However, it is not worth expecting automation of literary and simultaneous translation in this segment. It is worth waiting for solutions based on rapidly developing speech technologies that will allow us to watch, for example, English-language videos on YouTube with voice acting in Russian. Machine translation technologies are already making it possible to create subtitles that will be voiced using speech synthesis systems.
Thus, the future of translation is computational linguistics, and its learning in the process of use. Gradually, the profession of a translator will transform into a system adjuster, but linguistic education will still be a priority. Of course, it will also be supplemented by a technical component that changes the status of translators and their value within society. Machine translation will process requests faster and better, allowing you to get better results in less time.
