I'm not normally one to be swept up in politics; all of the different economic and social issues make it too confusing for me to want to deal with. Now, with the upcoming election, people have become more vocal about current issues, and I am becoming more aware of them.
In the Monday, September 20, issue of "The Reveille," Sean Faulk's letter to the editor commented on a protest that occurred in Free Speech Alley that I happened to witness. On Friday, September 17, a certain issue was being shouted across Free Speech Alley: the issue of gay marriage. A band of red sash wearing men were crying out about how if we didn't preserve traditional marriage, America and society as we know it would crumble.
