Most of the best movies ever made are based on literature works. But reading one takes a lot of time which is why many young people think that it is better to watch a film based on a book instead of reading. But in my opinion – it is better to read a book instead of watching the movie adaptation.
To begin with, books are usually quite long and movies have a time limit so there is a big chance that something will be left out. Although the film-makers tend to leave the important things in the film, the quality of a book or a story comes from the little things. These bits can be meaningless but they tend to give the person satisfaction which one can only get from reading.
Furthermore, movies rely far too much on the performance of actors. While in a book everything is written in precise detail, in movies most emotions can only be shown by the actor. Besides, the actor is also a person, so he/she can add something to their performance which some people may hate.…
