Good afternoon everyone. Today I am going to talk to you about how our mind bothers us in doing something and what should we do to get over it. I have divided my speech into 3 parts. In the first part I will tell you about how our fear of something stands in our way in doing something. In the second part I will talk about the way how we can get over it. And finally I will tell you about my experience in breaking through the barrier of fear.

Now let`s move to the first part of my talk. I believe that each of us sometimes have experienced incapability in doing something only because we can`t get over our fears or unknown conditions about certain things. It is a mind barrier that can`t let us do something. It can show up in some extreme things like when somebody offers you to jump out of the plane with parachute or swim in the ocean full with sharks. I guess we all would deny an offer like that. But this quality shows up also in very ordinary things, like sitting in the dark. Of course some of you now think that it is a very silly example but when you get to think about situation when you are all alone at your old summerhouse, outside there is storm, the electricity is out and some other conditions that are very unpleasant, most of us have a small Goosebumps. This all is because of our mind – nothing else. We all have seen too many horrible scenes in both – movies and reality. In conditions when you get to know something very similar with the things you have seen somewhere else makes you feel like something horrible can happen to you too. …
