Opportunities and Challenges
Through what I mention above, it is clear that there is no more reasons to be overoptimistic. In fact, in the process of writing, I spare no effort to find more opportunities to national home electrical appliance industry, but I find it is too hard. There are too challenges we have to face. Entry into WTO is only the first step; the tougher road is in store for us.
However, to be or not to be is no longer a question. In stead of we have the right to choose the WTO, as a matter of fact, it is the law of the market economy that having decided our decision in advance, namely, 160 years history teach us more than once that we have no more choice. If we want to survive, this is the only way out.
But survival is far from our aim, furthermore, we pursue success. We decide to make China a "World Factory" in this century, but this is not enough. For the simple reason, our fellow country men will feel shamed to see all products and service marked with "made in China" but offered by conglomerates controlled by foreign countries. So we need OME, but what we need more is the taking off our national industries. It is our proud; it is our victory; it is our fortune and future.
