The organizational culture at SWA is characterized by good employee-management relations. Some have called the said the management structure was an inverted pyramid with the company being run by its employees. Employees at all levels think of the company as a family and feel personally
involved, responsible, and motivated. SWA applies the concept that an employee becomes more motivated when they are given challenging work in which they can assume responsibility.
