the industry, it begs to question why exactly do women, as young as 18 years old, choose
these kinds of jobs, especially selling pictures of themselves online? We will discuss the
seductive lure of the industry, why do women choose and stay in this work field and the
consequences.
1. The industry paints a false picture of its success. If a normal 9-5 shift worker who is a
cashier lets say, sees the glamourous lifestyle and the things the sex-workers can afford on
social-media platforms, why wouldn’t they be swept off their feet by this amazing offer?
Especially with the cost of living gone up and global pricing rising up by 7,4% by 2023, this
fast and easy money earning lifestyle seems like a dream come true to most, since it requires
almost no effort to post pictures online. Anybody in today’s world can do that. Eight hand
