Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald
He was born on 24 September 1896 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
He was named after his distant cousin, Francis Scott Key , who famously wrote “The Star-Spangled Banner.” (national anthem of the United States).
When F. Scott Fitzgerald was 15 he was sent away from home to attend a prestigious Catholic prep school, the Newman School, in New Jersey.
After graduating from Newman he attended Princeton.
Few years later he dropped out of Princeton and joined the Army
Fitzgerald met Zelda Sayre, they fell in love and got married.
He wrote The Great Gatsby in 1925, but although it’s regarded as his masterpiece now, it was not a success until after his death.
On December 21, 1940, Fitzgerald suffered heart attack at his and died at age of 44.…
