Gains and Losses Realized by Latvia as a Result of Its Membership in the European Union

The European Union also thinks about the environment, issuing various rules that the Member States must comply with. Along with the improvement of EU legislation in reducing environmental pollution, Latvia has also introduced regulations that prohibit the issuance of free plastic bags to consumers at points of sale in order to reduce their circulation in nature.
