For instance, whitening the roofs and placing mirrors in deserts would not affect the climate on a global scale, but can help some overly hot regions to handle heat waves or lower the mean temperatures in order to make the weather there more comfortable for life and manufacture.
Overall, geoengineering may become the only way to lower temperatures in the future, thus, it should be profoundly studied, wisely applied and continuously monitored when done. Unfortunately, egoistic approach of the society and lack of awareness regarding climate change will presumably result in a total ignorance of the problem of the global warming.
