Endotherms:
Are animals that can maintain a constant body temperature. Body temp's are controlled by largely metabolic processes and by adaptive mechanisms that control the rate of heat exchange with the environment, such as panting, sweating and insulation. Both production of heat and cooling require large amounts of metabolic energy. Most mammals and birds are endotherms.

ECTOTHERMS
Desert lizards regulate body temperatures by:
"XAvoiding high temperatures; the lizards burrow or seek shelter under rocks or grasses in the hottest part of the day "" Body temperature fluctuates according to the temperature of its external environment.
"XBasking in the sun to absorb heat.
"XChanging colour from pale colours to dark to absorb the heat.
ENDOTHERMS
The red kangaroo lives in Australia's arid regions:
"XIt shelters during the heat of the day.
