Novell NetWare cenas bija pārāk augstas, tās nebija piemērotas tā laika tirgum. Līdz ar to, vairākas organizācijas atteicās no šīs OS un izvēlējās lētākas operētājsistēmas, piemēram, Unix vai Windows NT un citas.
