Conclusion
The United States Presidents and Congress have enacted laws intended to improve equal treatment of all employees. This was been achieved by enacting Equal Pay Act, Civil Rights Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Equal Employment Opportunity Act, Vocational Rehabilitation Act, Americans with Disabilities Act and Civil Rights Act. When companies fail to follow these laws, they are often burdened with lawsuits which are extremely costly for the company. We as a society need to ensure these laws are being followed to protect us and other employees within the United States. In the event these laws are not being followed, we as employees, need to make it is our duty to address the events accordingly using many different approaches from simply notifying management to filing suit if deemed necessary.
