As I mentioned previously, SFR aims to rapidly bring new biofuel products to its markets. A combination of sustainable procurement and investment in new technologies back their biofuels’ planet-and buyer-friendly profile.
Biofuels are considered one of the most effective ways of reducing CO2 emissions from the transport sector. There are a number of advantages to using biofuels, including significant reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, soot and particulates. Biofuels also stem from renewable sources. These advantages only occur when the supply follows fulfils national and international sustainability standards, which is why SFR has established a broad set of criteria to ensure overall performance. In October 2010, SFR was the first company in the world to offer next generation bio gasoline (also called 2G) to a national network. The difference in this gasoline is that the ethanol is now produced from wheat straw, which is categorised as agricultural waste, instead of crops that also can be used for food.

As we can see, Statoil Fuel & Retail is a strong company with stable market place in Northern Europe. SFR not only thinks about its profit but also invests lots in research and development to create new ways how to reduce pollution on our planet and to make fuel business a lot friendlier and safer to the nature. All their great values together make this company one of the most successful fuel and retail company in Europe.
