The bunker was a living place for soldiers during the war. The bunker which is exposed in the museum was used in Latvia during the First World War. Soldiers slept and ate in the bunkers, but other time they had to be in their positions. Bunkers were cold and uncomfortable, but it was war and soldiers hadn’t any choice. If they wanted to defend their native land they had to accept circumstances they way they were. Many soldiers didn’t care about the place where they lived in the beginning, because they believed that they will defeat the German army soon and return home, but in the reality everything wasn’t so simple, the bunker became the place of living for them for a long time.…
