If the voicer wants to increase the brilliance of the key, he will harden the felt by applying a small amount of lacquer. The voicer must approve of the tone quality of each key.

5. Conclusion
For almost 150 years, Steinway has been dedicated to the ideal of making the finest pianos in the world. Whether you are a professional artist, a student, or enthused listener, they want to get you to enjoy these beautiful instruments.
"In an age of mass production, Steinway & Sons remains a testament to individual craftsmanship, each year producing a limited number of handmade pianos, considered by many to be the finest in the world." (Steinway & Sons. "Steinway History").
