The road to the 1905 revolution and feminism

Feminism most likely isn’t the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the 1905 revolution, neither it is the first thing to come to mind when reading the book ‘’Valmiera boys’’ (Valmieras puikas) by Pavils Rozitis. But for Valmiera Theatre director Janis Znotins, it seemed very important to show this side of the story. The play ‘’Valmiera boys’’ (Valmieras puikas) perfectly combines feministic issues, historic reality and the original story.
