Latvians are a nation of foragers.
Latvia's richest tables were covered in autumn and winter festivals – after harvesting: Martins, Christmas and New Year's Eve.
Our kitchen stands out among other crops, because cereal dishes, legumes, garden and wildfood, meat, game and fish are always brought to the public.
