The book Ethan Frame is a novel by Edith Wharton (1862-1937). Writer is American novelist, which was born in New York. She is best remembered for suck as The House of Mirth and The Age of Innocence. Edith Wharton’s novelette Ethan Frome was first published in 1911. Action happened in 19.century in Starkfield. Starkfield is a small city, where everybody knew each other.
The novel is about man called Ethan Frome and his hard life. Ethan has fifty-two and he is married. His wife is Zeena. Zeena is very sick.
These people have many and different problems like poverty, unemployment and illness. It is interesting to read this book and look how people settle these problems in 19.century. In this novel is included love too. Love makes the novel more interesting and more exiting.
