Analyze them. Analyzing is noting how the principles of design are used to organize the elements of art: color, value, line, texture, shape, form, and space. Remember that some of the principles of design are balance, variety, and harmony. Can you name the other principles?
Interpret them. Interpreting is determining and explaining the meaning, mood, or idea of the work of art.
Judge them. Judging means making a decision about a work's success or lack of success and giving reason to support that decision.
