Modern Horticulture
Horticulture is the science and art of growing and using fruits, vegetables, flowers, ornamental plants and grasses to enhance our living environment and to diversify human diets. Horticultural crops are typically produced on a smaller scale with more intensive management than agronomic crops. Many horticultural crops are grown for aesthetic enjoyment and recreation.
Nowadays in many universities horticultural studies are popular and required. Horticulture is widely required profession, which includes not only cultivating plants, as it was thousands years ago, but it includes gardening and design, nutrient and pest management, integrated pest and crop management, vegetable research, organic agriculture, tee fruits and nuts management, and a lot more other subdivisions, with deep research in each of them.
