I Introduction
In the first part of this paper I will be looking at the foods and nonalcoholic beverage industry. I will be discussing sales trends, leading firms, marketing strategies, target market groups, and these industries strengths and weaknesses. In the second part of the paper I will look at one of the leading firm’s webpage and discuss its goals, how and if they are achieved. In the third part of paper I will describe what would be my companies marketing strategy, niche, target market groups, etc. if I were to own one.
II Discussion of the Industry
A.Overview of Sales Trends
The food and nonalcoholic beverage industry have, is and always will be one of the most popular and one of the most demanded. However, consumer preferences of food and beverages are constantly changing and it is this industry’s challenge to keep up with them. Many companies try to expand their businesses to some of the biggest developing overseas countries, such as China, India and Russia.
The companies have to keep up with consumer preferences. The trends are always changing; however, nowadays there are few that stand out. For example, people are getting more concerned with what they eat and how it affects their health, therefore, the demand for healthier foods with reduced fat, sodium and sugar content has increased.…
